Telangana Jana Samithi president M Kodandaram and his followers including TJS leader I Gopal Sharma were arrested by the police on Monday at Biknoor toll plaza. The leaders were heading to Nizamabad district jail to meet the leaders of Left parties and farmers who were sent to judicial remand for protesting for the release of water from Sri Ram Sagar Project.
Later, Prof Kodandaram and others were released after completion of formalities and were sent back to Hyderabad with the police escort. Ahead of the arrival of the TJS leader, a large number of police personnel under the supervision of Kamareddy CI of Police G. Sreedhar Kumar, SIPs of Biknoor, Domakonda, Rajampet, and Bibipet camped at the toll plaza.
