There was tension prevailed for some time in the morning hours at RTC bus stand in the city with the Congress, CPI, CPM Janasena functionaries tried to disrupt the vehicular traffic, police arrested and shifted them to various police stations.

In Kadapa city District Congress Committee (DCC) president SK Nazir Ahamd, CPM district K.Anjayaneyulu, CPI district president M.Eswaraiah, along with their party functionaries organized rallies in Kadapa city by raising slogans against BJP lead NDA government, while in Vempalli Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) vice president N.Tulasi Reddy organized motor cycle rally. In the mandals like Rayachoti, Ontimitta there was bandh impact witnessed with the protesters seen closing down the business establishments and disrupting the vehicular traffic. Meanwhile ruling TDP expressed its displeasure by disrupting vehicular traffic at various centers. There was no bandh impact seen in Pulivendula and Jammalamadugu mandals.

Speaking to media persons PCC vice president N.Tulasi Reddy said that now the cost of fuel witnessed 78dollars in international market as per that tariff the price Gas cylinder should be Rs 300, diesel per liter Rs 37, while petrol 45. But it is unfortunate that there was steep increase witnessed in the cost of cylinder Rs 754, diesel Rs 79, petrol Rs 87. He said but the BJP lead NDA government appears to be least bother over the issue as it is always concentrating how to loot public money instead of their welfare. He said in this circumstances there will be no alternative to the public except hit on to the roads.
