Nellore: Former Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged that the YSR Congress had failed to play the role of opposition in the state. Addressing the public meeting organized in connection with the 101st birth anniversary celebrations of Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at RTC circle in the city here on Monday, Kiran Kumar Reddy lambasted YSRC Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and said that he cannot reach public with only taking up Padayatra.

‘Why the YSR Congress legislators had not attended the assembly sessions for questioning on misuse of SC/ST sub plan funds in the state. Opposition party had apparently failed to resolve these issues. Telugu Desam had also failed to provide appropriate governance in the state by alliance with the BJP at Centre,’ said the Former Chief Minister.

TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu had only joined hands with the Congress only after AICC President Rahul Gandhi announced the assurance of Special Category Status to the truncated AP if they come to power, he added. He also commented that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a Congress leader and not a BJP leader. Kiran Kumar Reddy explained that even Patel was the only leader banned the RSS in the country. He alleged that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been trying to create disturbance among the Congress leaders.

AICC Secretary CD Meyyappan, PCC President N Raghuveera Reddy, senior leaders KVP Ramachandra Rao, Panabaka Lakshmi, Sailajanath, Kanumuri Bapiraju and others were present.
