The pipeline of Mission Bhagiratha burst at Thadoor road near Medipally village in Nagarkurnool district on Sunday. With the sudden burst, the water in the pipeline shot up to 50-60 feet in air and caused a traffic jam on the road. Due to the pipe leakage, the officials shut the water supply for a few hours.

Meanwhile, the officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) said that there will not be an interruption on the water supply in the city.

Earlier, the Mission Bhagiratha pipeline burst in Nirmal following which the water shot up to 15 metres in the air. The burst caused due to the fall of the pipeline wall at Majulapur when the water from Sriram Sagar was released as a part of a trial run.
