There was mixed response for bandh in Guntur district on Friday. In response to the bandh call given by the Prateya Hoda Sadhana Samithi, TDP,CPI,CPM, Jana Sena, Congress party extended their support to the badn and enforced bandh in Guntur city. Educational institutions functioned as usual. Intermediate practical examinations scheduled to be held on February 1 postponed.

The TDP, CPI,CPM,Congress party,Jana Sena enforced the bandh and stopped the buses at NTR Bus Station in Guntur city. Shops in One Town closed voluntarily extended the support to the bandh. The TDP leaders protested at Lodge Centre in Guntur city and raised slogans against the PrimeMinister Narendra Modi for rejecting the SCS demand.

CPI state assistant secretary Muppalla Nageswara Rao warned that they will continue the bandh till the Centre grants SCS to A.P. He said what voters will teach a lesson to the BJP government in the coming elections. CPm district secretaryPasam Rama Rao, AITUC Veluguri Randha Krishna Murthy, TDP leader Boboina Srinivasa Yadav, party leaders Subba Rao, were among those participated.

In Sateenapalli ,District Congress Committee president Makkena Mallikarjuna and other Congress protested for SCS. In Managalagiri, leaders of TDP,CPI,CPM,Janasena and Congress party protested near RTC Bus Stand.
