New Delhi: The Election Commission of India has released the schedule for the MLC elections in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Monday evening. The notification is released for 10 MLC seats under MLCs quota in two states.
Schedule Details:
Date of poll notification: 21 February
Last date for nominations: 28 February
The date for Scrutiny of Nominations: 1 March
Last Date for Withdrawal of candidatures: 05 March
Polling Date: 12 March, Timing: 9 AM to 4 PM
Counting Date: 12 March after 5 PM
Date before which election shall be completed: 15 March
The term of 5 MLCs each from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will end on March 29. They are Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, T. Santosh Kumar, Mohammed Saleem and Mohd Mahmood Ali of Telangana and P. Narayana, Lakshmi Siva Kumari Anguri, Pamidi Samanthakamani, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and A. Appa Rao of Andhra Pradesh.
