Hyderabad: Election Commission of India on Thursday issued the notification for holding biennial elections to 5 MLC seats elected by the members of Legislative Assembly in Telangana state. The voting will be held on March 12 and counting of votes will take place on the same day followed by declaration of results.
The term of 5 MLCs - Mohd. Mahmood Ali, Mohd.Saleem, Mohd. Ali shabbir, T. Santhosh Reddy and P.Sudhakar Reddy will expire on March 29.
With the issue of notification, the aspiring candidates can file the nominations upto February 28. The scrutiny of nomination will be on March 1 and last date for withdrawal of nominations is upto March 5.
