BENGALURU: During the show cabbies have said that the business was dull during the show compared to last year.
The general secretary, Bangalore Tourist Taxi Operators Association (BTTOA), K Radhakrishna Holla said that, “This year’s turnout was poor compared to previous editions due to of various reasons. Guests this year were mainly restricted to organizers and exhibitors. There weren’t many foreign delegates.”
The star hotels were also running low, Subramanya Holla, secretary of Bruhat Bangalore Hotels Association, had said that, “The hotel industry is already going through a rough patch after the entry of app-based booking sites. This year, the aero show seems to have lost patronage compared to previous years.”
Many motorists were glad as traffic on Bellary Road was less compared to last this year. But the traffic police said that they took various measures to decrease traffic congestion.
