All the wine shops in Charlagouraram village were issued notices to stop selling liquor keeping in mind of the villager's health. The shops were also asked to pay Rs 10,000 fine for violating the rule.

A notice was also submitted by the sarpanch and ward members to the police and excise officials to support the initiative. However, all the people village welcomed the proposal and assured to follow the rules.

The new initiative will come into effect from March 1, 2019.
