Wing Commander Abhinandan to be released via Wagah Border

Highlight : Post an emotionally tumultuous few days for India after the capture of Wing Commander Abhinandan, he is being sent back home today.
New Delhi: Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, who is in Pak custody since Wednesday, will be sent back to India through the Wagah border this afternoon.
They said the act was a "gesture of peace". Whether the pilot will be handed over to the International Red Cross or to the Indian authorities is unclear.
Amid soaring tension, the Indian government demanded the "immediate and safe return and it would be well-advised to ensure that no harm comes to him".
