Hyderabad cops cancel 179 driving licenses for drunk driving

The Hyderabad police in the month of February cancelled the driving licenses of 179 persons after they were caught in drunk driving. Out of them, licenses of 25 people were cancelled permanently while the remaining were cancelled for a temporary period.

Around 2,972 people were caught in drunk driving by the traffic police who issued charge sheets against them. The court also sentenced jail for 755 persons ranging from two days to 90 days along with a fine.

Over Rs 64 lakh fine has been collected from them.
