The XIV Biennial International Conference of Comparative Literature Association of India CLAI on Studying South Asian Narratives through Pluralist and Dialogic Frames

Hyderabad: The XIV Biennial International Conference of Comparative Literature Association of India (CLAI) on “Studying South Asian Narratives through Pluralist and Dialogic Frames” is being organized in collaboration with the Department of English, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) from March 11 to 14, 2019. The conference is sponsored by University Grants Commission and Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.

The inaugural session will be held at CPDUMT auditorium, MANUU Campus, at 10.00 am.

Prof. Sunaina Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Nalanda University will be the guest of honour of the inaugural. Prof. E.V. Ramakrishnan, President, CLAI will deliver inaugural address. Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor will preside over.

According to Prof. Syed Mohammed Haseebuddin Quadri, Head of the Department, renowned scholars and critics, Prof. Rebecca Ruth Gould (University of Birmingham, UK), Sri Daya Dissanayake (Sri Lankan Critic, Thinker, Editor), Prof Mashrur Shahid Hossain (Bangladesh), Prof. R. K.Kale (Former VC, Central University of Gujarat). Prof. Kavita Sharma (President, South Asian University), Prof. Intekhab Hameed Khan (Aurangabad), Prof. G. N. Devy (People’s Linguistic Survey of India), Prof. Tapati Mukherjee (Director of Culture, Visva-Bharati), Prof. Anisur Rahman, Prof. Ameena Kazi Ansari and Prof. Chandra Mohan, General Secretary CLAI shall be attending the conference. Large number of delegates from all over India will participate.
