Chef Olaf Niemeier is coming for the second time to city restaurant, Fusion 9, on popular demand. His plate is literally a canvas. No wonder, he has been named Chef Picasso. Picasso moved the classic art onto a new level by making use of modern techniques, and playing with distorted lines and unusual abstractions. Similarly, he takes dishes and updates them into modern, fused opposites.

“The variety of different cultures is what makes my fusion cuisine so exciting. This kind of cuisine blends Eastern and Western spices and techniques, and is mainly intended to be fun,” he says. What’s interesting about his food is the amazing Indian influence. His menu includes, freshly prepared tempura salad with maple vinaigrette and lettuce, Anis cinnamon and garlic lamb loin served on eggplant and zucchini salad with pistachio chilli dressing, Parsi spiced pork strips crispy fried and tossed with tomato chilli and garlic jam, spicy Asian Chicken Coconut Kefir soup, baked eggplant zucchini lasagne served on a spicy ginger tomato stew, Chef Picasso’s pork vindaloo with spicy lemon sesame rice, Jalebi mille feulle with lemon croquant mousse and saffron syrup and more.
