Bangalore-based Basava will display a collection of sarees and antique jewellery at The Pavillion, Taj Deccan, Banjara Hills, at their two-day expo.

Bangalore-based Basava will display a collection of sarees and antique jewellery at The Pavillion, Taj Deccan, Banjara Hills, at their two-day expo.

Kanjeevarams, linen, jamdanis as well as Maheshwarie sarees will be display at the expo. The linen sarees are from Anavilla, Maheshwaries from Rehwa, jamdanis from Karomi in West Bengal and an exquisite range of Kanchi’s and jewellery from Venkatram Reddy.

The linens are a celebration of textiles in their raw unkempt form. Maheshwaries, all woven in Madhya Pradesh, are a beautiful mix of light silk and cotton yarns in vivid summer colors, there are both sarees and salwar suits to choose from. Elaborately designed Jamdanis from Karomi in Kolkata are apt for the festive season. The Kanjeevarams on the other hand are from the south and portray the mastery of traditional silk handloom weaves. The jewellery is a collection of exquisite south Indian pieces that are hand crafted.

The prices start from Rs 1,000 upwards for dupattas and Rs 2,500 upwards for sarees.

The expo will be on from 11 am to 7 pm on October 13 and 14.
