Rodeo Drive, the boutique for luxury watches, along with Swiss luxury watchmaker Century have just launched the Century horological limited edition Lord Venkateswara watch. Studded with rubies, emeralds and diamonds, only 333 pieces of this opulent men's timepiece will be available worldwide. The image of Lord Venkateswara is engraved by hand in gold on a metallic white dial that is embellished with rubies and emeralds along with hour-markers that are set with diamonds.

The Swiss luxury watchmaker Century has been put on display in Hyderabad. The impressively created lugs, case back and the crown of the watch are handcrafted in 18-k red gold, with an image of the Vimanam engraved in gold on the reverse. The Swiss self-winding movement is COSC chronometer certified (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute that is responsible for certifying the accuracy and precision of wristwatches in Switzerland) and guarantees great precision and reliability. The intricate sapphire case is exceptionally light and the extreme durability and purity of the sapphire ensures that the watch will retain its original luminosity, clarity and density of colour for a very long time. This 42 mm case is also scratch-resistant and water resistant up to 100 meters. The 12 shimmering facets are cut and polished entirely by hand.

You get two options of straps - an alligator leather strap with folding buckle in 18-k red gold or an 18-k red gold bracelet. Each watch is individually numbered in a limited series of 333. Each piece takes about four months to make and deliver. Rodeo Drive will hold exclusive worldwide rights to sell the timepiece.

What's more, every piece of the watch sold globally will contribute a certain percentage of the sale proceeds to the Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD), Asia's largest charitable orthopedic hospital in Tirupati run by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

The watch, made in 18 carat gold, is studded with diamonds and rubies and priced at Rs 29 lakh. It will be on display at Meena Jewellers in Hyderabad till November 17, Rodeo Drive said in a statement.
