Precursor to a Gujju-Rajasthani sammelan
The curtain raiser event for Chakde Gujrati-Rajasthani was held on Thursday. Chakde Gujrati-Rajasthani is an effort to bring Gujratis and Rajasthanis in the city on one platform through a festival of arts, sports and culture. The event will be held between December 21, 2014, and March 1, 2015. All the events will be executed on public holidays and weekends only.

The organising committee would be attempting to set a Guinness Record for the highest number of reality shows under one event. Although the event is designed for Gujrati and Rajasthani communities, four events would be conducted which are open to all.
A business directory of the two communities with information of all families and corporate will be brought out after the event. A cricket tournament with 16 teams and 265 players and a fashion show will be conducted. In all sports events, the umpires, scorers and other officers will be from Hyderabad Cricket Association, Telangana TT Association and Telangana Badminton Association. The closing ceremony will be celebrated as Gujrati-Rajasthani Ekta Sammelen.
