Sashaying with grace

Chak De Gujarati & Rajasthani held auditions for a beauty pageant titled Miss & Mrs Gujarati & Rajasthani at Welkin Park, Begumpet, on Saturday. The pageant is to highlight the beauty and confidence of ladies of Gujarati and Rajasthani descent. The event saw participation from more than 100 women, some who were aged 50 and above.

Rajesh Shah, an organiser of Chak De-Gujarati & Rajasthani, said that the event was open for all women. “A few women who were 50 and above walked the ramp dressed in bridal wear.” Speaking on the occasion Minal Vakharia, an organiser, said, “The event is to give confidence to the ladies and young girls of our communities. Confidence development plays major role in lives of women and this pageant is for just that.”
