A handicrafts and handlooms exhibition, Lepakshi Craft Bazaar, organised by the Lepakshi Export Oriented Showroom, will be inaugurated by Shailaja Ramaiyer, Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation today. The expo, being held at NTR Stadium, will go on till March 15.

A handicrafts and handlooms exhibition, Lepakshi Craft Bazaar, organised by the Lepakshi Export Oriented Showroom, will be inaugurated by Shailaja Ramaiyer, Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation today. The expo, being held at NTR Stadium, will go on till March 15. The craft bazaar is to give a boost to craftsmen and increase the sales of their products. Weavers and craftsmen from different parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will exhibit their stock.

Hyderbadi pearls, softwood and Kondapalli toys, wall panels and woodcarvings from Tirupati, paintings of Sri Kalahasthi, crochet lace work of Narsapur, cotton durries and brass artwork from Warangal, leather puppets and lamp shades, metal castings and Bidriware are some of the prominent crafts that will be displayed. Also, traditional silk and cotton sarees, dress materials, suit sets and sarees from Gadwal, Pochampally (Ikat), Uppada, Narayanpet, Mangalagiri, Venkatagiri and Kalamkari block printings of Machilipatnam, Bagalpur, Benaras, Chanderi, will be available at the expo.
