The Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2015 reiterated that monochrome is never out of fashion, pastels have remained from last season and pinks and reds and blues…what the heck… looks like you would need them all. While a few designers did present bling, our vote is for the flowy, flowery, breezy outfits that have ruled the roost during the fashion week.

The designers used accessories sparingly and we have our favourites. Designer Suneet Varma’s ‘The Decorative Arts of India” presented the absolutely gorgeous Nargis Fakhri looked sensational in a crystal encrusted red lehenga choli and dupatta. She was wearing this stunning choker necklace from Reliance Jewels that went well with the exquisite golden thread embroidery and mirror work on the outfit.
When actress Neha Dhupia strutted down the catwalk in a high collared tent shaped maxi dress with a light beige sheer overcoat that swept over the ramp with a gorgeous trail, it was all that ‘Eos’ by designer Sonu Dharnidharka stood for – contemporary and oh-so-chic. Her golden arm bracelets only accentuated the classy look.
Arpita Mehta’s ethnic silhouettes were highlighted by the sensuous lines of cream and nude, with splashes of bright pop tones like royal pink, indigo, lime green and peachy coral.
Her showstopper, Esha Gupta wore a layered flesh coloured embroidered sheer gown with a seductive thigh high slit. Arpita completed the look with her limited edition line of handmade embroidered shoes called ‘Bedazzle’ that truly dazzled the ensemble.
The Easies collection by Killer Jeans presented the blue-eyed-boy of Indian cricket team, Irfan Pathan wearing a powder blue shirt over beige pants and when the look was teamed with tan shoes, he set the ramp ablaze with his sporty charisma.
