For the sacred puja, the timings are:

Mahapunya Kaal Muhurat: 7:15 AM – 9:15 AM

Kaal Muhurat: 7:15 AM – 12:30 PM

It’s during the festival that everyone gets together to pray to Lord Surya and braces themselves for the prolific harvest season. Apart from cleaning their houses and wearing new clothes, the day usually begins with prayers and offerings to the lord. The visit to the Lord Surya and Lord Shani temples is also part of the day; deities also take a dip in the Holy Ganges to wash away their sins.

As we all know that the auspicious day is celebrated with customary til ke ladoo and chikki that keep the body warm during this cold season and the day ends with kite flying.

Happy Sankranti and wish you all a lot of prosperity and happiness into your lives.
