Wipe out Congress, TDP, Harish urges T people

Medak: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leader T Harish Rao has called upon the people of the region to send to the Lok Sabha a large number of party leaders as MPs so that it could use their good offices to secure a separate state after the next election. He was speaking at a training camp organized for party workers at Dubbaka on Thursday. He made it clear that the TRS would support any party working for the formation of a separate Telangana state.

Harish accused the Congress of betraying the people of Telangana by reneging on its promise to create a separate Telangana state in the wake of the indefinite fast of K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said that the TDP was instrumental in preventing the formation of Telangana state. Therefore, the people of the region should wipe out Congress and Telugu Desam in the coming elections to local bodies and show their strength.

Not a single seat for Congress Addressing a gathering at Chegunta in Medak, the TRS leader said that the Congress would not get a single in the 2014 elections because of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's outbursts in the State Legislative Assembly that he would not give a single pie to the Telangana region. Harish Rao accused Seemandhra leaders of robbing Telangana people of mineral resources, jobs and wealth. It was shameful on the part of Telangana ministers to serve Kiran Kumar Reddy, though the latter had been ridiculing the people of Telangana.

Harish Rao alleged that there was a secret deal between Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and Kiran Kumar Reddy, since both were trying to thwart the formation of Telangana state. Hence, Naidu was coming to the rescue of the Congress government whenever it faced a no-confidence motion. He dared the TDP to introduce a motion in the State Assembly for the formation of the Telangana state. Famous Telugu poet and writer Nandini Siddha Reddy and former MLA Ramalinga Reddy were present on the occasion.
