Senior politico and MA Modugula Venugopala Reddy is all set to resign from the Telugu Desam Party into the YSRCP.
Despite being in the TDP, Modugula never shirked away from maintaining good relations with YS Jagan. Unlike many TDP leaders, who studiously avoided even eye contact with YS Jagan, Modugula regularly greets the Leader of the Opposition. However, there were occasions when both Jagan and Modugula had wordy duels in the House.
On one occasion, when Modugula repeatedly interrupted his speech, Jagan had even quipped: “It appears you were promised a minister’s post if you interrupt me?”
Despite all these wordy duels, Chandrababu appears to have no value for Modugula. He had not made him a minister and of late, has also been talking of not giving ticket to him again. It is also being strongly rumoured that Modugula is among the 40 sitting MLAs, who might be denied party tickets in 2019. So, Modugula is forced to go over to the YSRCP. He is said to have already worked out the modalities of his entry into the YSRCP. He might join the party towards the end of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra and would resign from the MLA post before joining the YSRCP.
