Ace shuttler P.V. Sindhu won a gold medal title after she beat reigning Nozomi Okíhara of Japan in the BWF World Tour Finals on Sunday in China. Sindhu finally got her hands on big gold medal. She has Now become the first Indian shuttler to win the elite year-end tournament. Sindhu has shown sparks of brilliance in the final of the tournament. The way she has played, she has beaten the players of quality like Akane Yamaguchi, Nozomi Okuhara, Ratchanok in the same tournament is a special for her. She finished the year on a high note scaling the phenomenal peak in international tournaments. it was a great tournament event and a great title win by Sindhu.

Prior to this, Sindhu won silver medals at the World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and Thailand Open. She has a tremendous talent and her performance is all the more praiseworthy because she has also beat world champions as if to demonstrate how much talent there is in Indian women's badminton today. For Sindhu, winning a Olympic medal is her ambitious accomplishment. Her target is also for the All England Championship next year. Congratulations Sindhu well played. India is proud of you.
