Prime Minister Narendra Modi is right when he observed that the time for talks is over( Time for talks over: PM, THI 19 February 2019). It is true that any hesitation to take action against terrorism and those who support it is tantamount to encouraging the menace of insurgency. The Pulwama IED blast that killed 40 CRPF personnel and wounded several others is the worst in J&K in decades. Many nations across the world condemned in strongest terms the dastardly and heinous terrorist attack and expressed support to India in the fight against terrorism.

The whole world knows that these terrorist groups have been operating from the Pakistani soil and that Pakistan has been providing a safe haven to these groups besides providing training and pushing them across the border. The country as usual denied any role in the Pulwama incident.
It should be remembered that Gandhiji also said that non-violence did not mean passivity or inaction. It means resistance to evil with all the moral force that one can command. He advocated violence when there is only a choice between violence and cowardice.
