Hyderabad: A trainee pilot from Andhra Pradesh lost his life in an aircraft crash at Hooks Aiport in the US. Chamakura Karthik, hailing from Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh was killed when Cessna, operated on a single-engine got burst into flames following a crash at Hooks Airport in Harris County, Texas on Sunday evening.

According to the airport officials, the Cesna 172 rushed into a hangar when the pilot was attempting to land on the runway, when he identified a snag in the engine.
In this incident the trainer pilot of Karthik's trainer also lost his life. According to Karthik's family members, he had gone to the US in September for commercial pilot training after finishing his education in Hyderabad. Karthik was an alumni of Andhra Pradesh Aviation Academy in Hyderabad.
