TORONTO: A 30-year-old Indian-Canadian woman was stabbed by a man in a carjacking incident in Winnipeg city in the Canadian province of Manitoba.

Parmjeet Kaur was brushing snow off her vehicle on Marbury Road in West Kildonan around 6 a.m. Wednesday when she was stabbed by the man who then drove off in her car, CBC News reported Thursday.
Parmjeet, however managed to pull out her seven-year-old daughter, Komalpreet, from the vehicle before the carjacker left the spot, the report said.
Kaur said that she did not know the man who approached her and demanded the car keys.
When she refused, she said the man took out a knife and stabbed her in the lower body.
Komalpreet said she saw everything out of the side window and was scared for her mother.
"My mom was cleaning the car, and somebody closed the car," Komalpreet was quoted as saying.
"I was sitting in the car," she added.
According to Surinder Mallhi, a relative of Parmjeet, the man let her take Komalpreet out of the car after she told him that her baby was in the car before driving off.
