Telangana NRI Forum's 65th Republic Day Celebrations in London. Telangana NRI Forum(TeNF) - Jai Bharath wing celebrated 65th Republic day on a grand scale in London.Event was held at Hounslow Multicultural center in west London.

Telangana NRI Forum(TeNF) - Jai Bharath wing celebrated 65th Republic day on a grand scale in London.Event was held at Hounslow Multicultural center in west London. Around 150 plus Indians attended the event from different parts of UK ignoring rain and damp weather.Patriotic Indian songs were played while guests arrived filling the ambience with patriotism.

TeNF founder member Anil Kurmachalam hoisted the National flag, immediately followed by the national anthem. Every one saluted the flag and paid respect to flag and nation while anthem was being sung.Children showed special interest in saluting the flag.

Attendees then paid respect to our national leaders Mahatma Gandhi, B R Ambedkar and Jawaharlal Nehru by offering flowers to their photographs.Indian sweets and snacks were then served to all attendees .

Anil Kurmachalam spoke about TeNF activities which involved celebrating National festivals,charity activities,offering help during natural disasters and he emphasised TeNF's event during Uttarakhand floods .He mentioned that it is vital for indian children born and raised abroad to know about history and struggle by our freedom fighters.

Uday Nagaraju explained about the significance of Republic day and mentioned it is a great opportunity to remember Gandhi,Ambedkar,Nehru,Patel and others.He said India had lot of development in many areas in last 65 years but there are still lot of areas that need to be changed like Rich-Poor gap,caste based discrimination and safety for women.

Chandu Goud mentioned that TeNF has been celebrating Republic day for the second consecutive year.He thanked all volunteers for the help and appreciated attendees for their efforts to come from different corners of UK amidst rain and damp weather.
