77 year old man from India has been let off in US after it was found that he is suffering from bi polar disorder and was sent for treatment. 77 year old Bayapa Lingala, retired teacher from Tirupathi stabbed his son in law in Lincoln in Nebraska in US.

He was charged with second degree murder and authorities impounded his passport and set his bail at 1 million dollars. Lingala claimed that he has been suffering from bipolar disorder and Court after finding it true sent him for further testing and treatment at Lincoln Regional Centre.

Lincoln police website according to its report say Sujay Nooka, an engineer, worked at Lincoln Industries as a supply chain manager was murdered on the night of August 5, 2014. He was found with a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to hospital. At 2.51 am, he was pronounced dead. Bayapa Lingala his father in law was arrested after he was found with weapon in the house when the police arrived.

Dr.Nooka Uma, wife of Sujay informed that her father suffered from bipolar disorder and stabbed her husband with eight inch knife. Lancaster County Court found that Dr.Nooka prescribed medication for her father and Uma added that her father wanted to return to India but she opposed it as he couldn't take care of himself. Lakshmi Nooka. Sujay's father testified that he watched Lingala stab his son.
