Nara Lokesh convinces Indian-American investors to adopt AP villages

With Telugu Desam Party leader and son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh’s extensive tour of US seeking investments in the villages in AP, several Indian-Americans have come forward to adopt 2417 villages as a part of \'Smart Village-Smart Ward\' programme that aims at comprehensive development of the areas.

With Telugu Desam Party leader and son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh’s extensive tour of US seeking investments in the villages in AP, several Indian-Americans have come forward to adopt 2417 villages as a part of 'Smart Village-Smart Ward' programme that aims at comprehensive development of the areas.


Nara Lokesh met several Indian-Americans in San Jose, Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Dallas, and Portland for the investments in AP villages. Addressing the NRI Telugu community, Nara Lokesh said that AP will soon become a formidable force that will set new standards in the country.


Meeting the Assistant Secretary of Commerce Arun Kumar to discuss the smart city project especially Visakhapatnam, Mr Lokesh said that he elucidated the potential of AP and made a request for his support in building the state as a manufacturing hub.


Mr Lokesh also met Indian-American Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Texas Governor Gregg Abott where several potential areas in trade and investments were discussed that would be beneficial mutually. A host of business leaders met with Mr Lokesh that included Vinod Khosla, founder of Sun Microsystems, Paul Humphries, group President of Flextronics and Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe.
