tiruNalgonda: Soon after the sudden demise of Pratik Reddy in an accident, former minister and his father Komatireddy Venkat Reddy established Komatireddy Pratik Reddy Foundation on April 14, 2012 to help the needy. The Foundation constructed a bus shelter at a cost of Rs. 4 lakh at Nalgonda which would be inaugurated on Sunday by Members of Parliament Rajagopal Reddy and Gutta Sukhendar Reddy, MLA Chirumarti Lingayya. In this connection a blood donation camp is organized in which 1,000 persons would donated blood. Two ambulances were pressed into service to help the persons involved in accidents. A blood donation programme was conducted in Nalgonda last year in which 800 persons donated blood and handed over to the Red Cross Society. An eye camp was conducted and operations were conducted on 50 persons and 250 were given spectacles. The Foundation had undertaken a massive programme to reconstruct the government junior vocational college at Nalgonda at a cost of Rs. 7 crore. The Foundation is paying the fee for four MBBS students. A drinking water plant to provide fluoride-free water to the students was installed in a college and Rs. 1.5 lakh was given to two families injured in the Dilsukhnagar blasts.
