ACB catches Excise CI red-handed

ACB sleuths on Wednesday laid trap and arrested Excise Circle Inspector G Prabhakar while accepting Rs. 30,000 from a wine shop owner here. Wine shop owner Janga Reddy lodged a complaint with the ACB DSP Prabhakar that the Excise CI demanded a bribe of Rs. 30,000 for the months of June, July and August at the rate of Rs. 10,000 per month.

Suryapet (Nalgonda): ACB sleuths on Wednesday laid trap and arrested Excise Circle Inspector G Prabhakar while accepting Rs. 30,000 from a wine shop owner here. Wine shop owner Janga Reddy lodged a complaint with the ACB DSP Prabhakar that the Excise CI demanded a bribe of Rs. 30,000 for the months of June, July and August at the rate of Rs. 10,000 per month. He told the DSP said that he had already paid Rs. 40,000 in the past and the CI caused a loss of Rs. 2 lakh to him. DSP Prabhakar said that the CI was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe money. He said that he would be presented before the ACB Court on Thursday.
