Police commence grilling of Asaram
Jodhpur police DCP Ajay Pal Lamba said on Saturday that Asaram was found fit for questioning by the Indore medical team. He said they had started questioning Asaram in the sexual assault case of a 15-year-old Girl. Earlier, around 8 pm a team of the Jodhpur police reached Asaram's Indore ashram to interrogate him.
Indore (Agencies): Jodhpur police DCP Ajay Pal Lamba said on Saturday that Asaram was found fit for questioning by the Indore medical team. He said they had started questioning Asaram in the sexual assault case of a 15-year-old Girl. Earlier, around 8 pm a team of the Jodhpur police reached Asaram's Indore ashram to interrogate him.
Lamba said: "Jodhpur police has received a fax from Asaram with a certificate from the Bhopal Medial College certifying neurological problem. But he has been found fit for questing by Indore medical team sent by the local administration." He said his force was taking the help of Indore police too. He said that if Asaram fails to defend himself, the he will be arrested. "As of now he is fit for investigation and travel. If he claims that he is innocent, the investigating officer will take a decision on further action and whether to arrest him or not," he said.
