New Delhi: BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi gave a clarion call to the people to bury the Dirty Team (read Congress) and to throw up a Dream Team (read BJP) that will change the very face of India. Staging his first mega rally in the capital as BJP Prime Ministerial candidate, Modi trained his guns on the Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi for tossing the headgear of PM Manmohan Singh, especially when he was on foreign soil representing the country, by trashing him on the issue of the Ordinance to protect convicted lawmakers. This Government runs more on the whims of the Congress Crown Prince than on the strength of the Constitution, remarked Modi.

It has only emboldened Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to insult and humiliate the Prime Minister, saying he is like a village woman, complaining to US President Barack Obama against Pakistan. “How does Nawaz Sharif get this audacity? The Prime Minister has no respect within his own party and that is why he cannot command respect in the world,” thundered Modi. The BJP opposes the Prime Minister within the country and that, too, on policies, but this is an insult to the country and an affront to 1.2 billion people, which will never be tolerated, declared Modi.

I am Not A Ruler But A Servant of India Says Modi

Provoking Allies of the Congress, Modi said: “It’s Dynasty versus Democracy and the Allies have to choose.” After lampooning the Congress PM face Rahul Gandhi, Modi said it is a tribute to Indian democracy that a person with humble beginnings as a server in a tea-stall has risen to be BJP PM candidate. “I continue to serve, I am not a ruler. I am not a Nath (Boss) but a Dass (Servant),” he asserted.

PM was ridiculed for his failure to stand tall during his meeting with Obama. Like the art-films, which showcase poverty to win international awards, the PM was marketing Indian poverty, by saying, “I come from India and I am PM of a poor country.” Is this poverty also a state of mind, as poverty was described Rahul Gandhi, Modi wanted to know.

Modi doubted the Prime Minister’s capacity to talk confidently to Sharif on issues like setting a timeframe for Pakistan to return PoK; end terror; to raise the killings of Indian jawans on LoC; and to bring back home the severed head of the Indian soldier.

BJP pulled out all stops to make the rally a huge success. As many as 100 screens were installed at different points to help people to view Modi rally. It was Modi all the way.

Targeting the Congress, Modi said Delhi has multiple Governments. There is the Delhi Government of Sheila Dikshit. There is the Government of the Mother (Sonia Gandhi), the Government of the Son (Rahul Gandhi) and the Government of the Son-in-Law (Robert Vadra). There is also the Coalition Government of the UPA and the UPA Allies who run their own Government with each of the constituent parties having its own Prime Ministerial face.

Coming down heavily on the Congress for its monumental corruption, Modi pooh-poohed the style of functioning of the government. He said when Supreme Court pulled up the Government for its massive corruption, far from taking corrective measures, the Government stopped functioning. Entire governance has been paralysed, remarked Modi.
