Rajnath: Inflation, corruption bane of Congress rule

SONEPAT (Haryana): BJP President Rajnath Singh on Sunday described inflation and corruption as bane of Congress rule and said people were fed up with policies "which create differences among people and society." Addressing a party rally here, he claimed that villagers and farmers had been at the receiving end at the hands of repeated Congress rules in the country.

Singh assured the people that if BJP was voted to power after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, prices of fertiliszers would be brought down considerably and the interest on crop loans reduced.
"People are looking at BJP with great hope, therefore, we have named such a leader (Narendra Modi) as the prime ministerial candidate, who is dear to the people," he said.

He said the Manmohan Singh government at the Centre was "remote controlled" and was "indecisive" in its working.
The BJP leader also chided the Centre over its policies in relation to China and Pakistan and said the government should give a clear message to its neighbours that India was not going to tolerate any kind of intrusion.
He attacked the Centre for recent killing of Indian soldiers on LoC, saying even smaller nations like Pakistan are repeatedly showing their ill-intentions towards India and killing of soldiers at the LoC was an example.
Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj lambasted the Haryana government for its alleged failure to check atrocities against the Dalits and women and enforce law and order in the state.
The state has become an industry of Change of Land Use (CLU) and the amount is going in pockets instead of being deposited in the treasury, she claimed.
She scotched rumours of uncertainty being spread by vested interests about BJP-Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) alliance and reiterated that BJP's alliance with HJC was final and both the parties would contest the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections jointly and unitedly.
"HJC-BJP tie-up is rock solid and Congress will have to bite the dust at the hustings," Swaraj said.
Former BJP President Nitin Gadkari charged the Congress- led UPA government with "working against the farmers who had been forced to commit suicide because they did not get remunerative prices of their produce."
