Five Sri Lankan fishermen, arrested after they drifted into sea off Andhra Pradesh coast, were today repatriated by the Indian Coast Guard near the Indo-Lankan Maritime Boundary Line.
The fishermen were taken onboard Coast Guard ship ICGS Gangadevi along with their boat from Krishmapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on February 21.
They were handed over to Sri Lankan Navy officials, some 16 nautical miles Southeast of Point Calimere in Nagapattinam District in Tamil Nadu at around 3.20 pm today, an official release said.
