New York: The US Court has asked Sonia Gandhi, the UPA Chairperson, to produce her Passport before them. The court asked her to produce her passport as evidence to prove that she was not present in the US from September 2 to September 9 last year.

It is evident that a case has been filed in Brookline court of New York in the US concerning violation of Human Rights during 1984 Sikh riots in India. The court has issued summons to Sonia. Nevertheless, she has declared that the summons was not received by her as she was not present in the US at the time the summons was issued to her.

The court in turn said that the evidences filed by Sonia were not sufficient to annul the case and asked her to produce the true copy of her passport as evidence for the same. ‘Sikhs for Justice’, an organization in the US which has filed a compliant against Sonia Gandhi has mentioned that Sonia Gandhi was handed over summons at the hospital where she underwent treatment.
