Heavy rains have triggered landslides in a village near Pune. Over 100 people are feared to have been trapped under the debris.

According to a report, around 40 houses in Malin village of Ambegaon taluk of Pune were completely washed away by the rains. The overflowing water in two lakes of the region caused landslides, it is learnt. The population in the region is said to be nearly 750.

Also, more than 50 homes toppled down in this incident. It is expected that almost 170 people got struck underneath the debris. NDRF rushed the spot and involved in the rescue measures.
