Srivastav added that it is the first occasion wherein a white tigress has given birth to a black cub. The white tiger Sneha gave birth to 4 cubs in the companionship of the tiger Manish. Of these four cubs, one is a black cub, while others are a white color cub, a faint color cub and a royal Bengal cub. The zoo officials have reported that all the four cubs are doing well. This is the first delivery of Senha, reportedly.

As there has been a drastic fall in the number of tigers in India, the zoo officials have been taking extra care to safeguard the existence of the race of tigers. It is learnt that most of the cubs died within two weeks of their birth that too with the carelessness of the zoo officials. At present there are 20 tigers in the zoo. The zoo park celebrated the occasion of welcoming the four cubs, as Monday coincidentally turns to be the International Tiger’s day.
