Jayalalithaa’s Amma Baby Care Kit to Benefit Newborns. Going on with the schemes in the name of Amma, Jayalaithaa has unveiled a new scheme under the name “Amma Babycare Kit”. The state assembly of Tamilnadu on Tuesday passed the bill for the implementation of the ibid scheme.

Going on with the schemes in the name of Amma, Jayalaithaa has unveiled a new scheme under the name “Amma Babycare Kit”. The state assembly of Tamilnadu on Tuesday passed the bill for the implementation of the ibid scheme. A total of 6.7L newborns would get benefitted under this scheme undertaken by the state government. The scheme is planned with an estimated budget of RS 67cr.
Jayalalithaa, the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, while introducing the scheme in the assembly said that the aim of the mentioned scheme is to provide all required products to the newborns. Further, she said that the babycare kit will have 16 items useful for the just born babies. Already Amma Salt, Amma Canteen, Amma Pharmacy and Amma Mineral Water are already introduced in the state. Amma Baby Care Kit is another venture in the Amma series.
Inspired by Amma canteens, Andhra Pradesh government has thought of introducing Anna Canteens in the state. Similarly, may the Amma Baby Care Kit may inspire for another new scheme Anna Baby Care Kit in Andhra Pradesh.
