With a new body and soul there will be a new institution and we are working to ensure that this new scheme replaces the Planning Commission very soon," Modi said.
Promote Made in India: The Prime Minister called the world at large and Indians abroad to invest in the manufacturing sector in India. Modi said, "Come make in India. Be it plastics or cars or satellites or agricultural products, come make in India." He also stated "We should manufacture things that have 'zero defect', that are never returned because of a problem' and have 'zero effect' on environment”. Further, he urged the youth to reduce dependency on imported products.
Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana : This scheme will help poor open bank accounts which will come with the facility of a debit card and an insurance cover of Rs 1 lakh. The Prime Minister announced the creation this scheme and said, "People in this nation have mobile phones but they don't have bank accounts”. Modi held that the new scheme would not only bring the un-banked into the banking system but would also the account holder would be eligible for Rs one lakh life insurance cover.
Digital connectivity: The Prime Minister has always been an enthusiast of information technology and emphasized the need to ensure that every village had broadband connectivity. "Digital India is plan not for the benefit of the rich, but the poor," Modi emphasized. Furthermore, he said that it was previously railways linked the nation but now he wants to ensure that nation is connected through information technology. "e-governance is easy governance, efficient governance, and that is important," he added.
Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana: All MPs should develop a model village in their constituencies by 2016 urged Prime Minister. "If we have to build the nation we have to start from the villages". He explained a math of that if each MP decides to develop three villages over five years, many villages in the country would progress
CSR for toilets: Every school in the country should have toilets for children and separate toilets for girl students to reduce the dropout rate said PM. He appealed to corporate and MPs to allocate funds to guarantee that every school in the country had a toilet under CSRs. The government devices to commence the Swacch Bharat plan in October.
