Delhi Government Impasse: ‘Murder of Democracy’ if BJP Forms Govt, Says AAP. Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal said on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to form Government in Delhi by horse-trading, and asking them to form the Government will be akin to murder of democracy.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal said on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to form Government in Delhi by horse-trading, and asking them to form the Government will be akin to murder of democracy.

"There are three parties in Delhi - AAP, Congress and BJP, but none of them have majority votes. Congress can't form Government, AAP is asking for elections, so naturally BJP will try to form Government by horse-trading, by purchasing Members of Legislative Assembly, which is absolutely wrong. They want to purchase MLAs in Rs 20 crores," Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal also questioned Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung's decision to invite the BJP to form the Government in Delhi, saying that when BJP doesn't have numbers, then how the LG will prove that it is the largest party, and it's an invitation to purposely form Government with dishonesty.

"We are meeting the President today and will request him to interfere in this matter and BJP shouldn't get the invitation to form Government in Delhi at any cost," the former Delhi chief minister added.

He further said that he has asked his party MLAs to record the conversation with any BJP leader who comes to bribe them and later when the LG will invite the BJP then AAP will expose it one hour prior to the confidence motion.

Delhi has been under the President's rule since February 17 this year after former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had resigned over the non-introduction of the Jan Lokpal Bill in the state Assembly.
