Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has been convicted in the disproportionate assets case, who is now appearing before the special court at Bangalore for pronounces judgement in the 18 year old case.

Though the quantum of verdict is awaited it is learnt that the Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha would go to jail as a special prisoner for atleast 1 year to 7 years.
However, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa tells the court that the case is politically motivated, and intended to harass her.
According to sources, the ministers in jayalalitha cabinet will take charge as CM if she is convicted; the preferable names would be a Jaya's loyal persons and cabinet ministers O Paneerselvam or Sheela Balakrishnan and Senthil Balaji.
