While speaking to media, he said "I sought protection for all the parties in the state, after AIADMK supporters allegedly attacked political rivals after a court jailed Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for corruption.
Vijaykant, who heads the opposition in the Tamil Nadu assembly, said he submitted a memorandum expressing concern over the violence commited by AIADMK supporters against opposition leaders and their houses. The DMDK office in Pudukottai was also attacked he said.
