New Delhi:The Delhi Police is trying to identify the abductors of three-year-old Jahnvi, who was found Sunday in a Janakpuri market after she went missing from India Gate Sep 28.

"It is not easy for the little girl to recognise the people who abducted her and kept her for eight days but we are trying," said a police officer.

The official said that she told them that she was with some people, including a woman.

Police also suspect that a childless couple might have been involved in her abduction.

Jahnvi was recovered late Sunday evening after a student, identified as Dhirendra, spotted her roaming in Janakpuri area of west Delhi.

Dhirendra called police and also her uncle, whose contact number was written on a placard hanging from her neck.

Her head was tonsured but the dress was the same one that she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

Police said it seemed the girl was not kept at a dirty place after being abducted, and added that the child was not beaten up either as no external injury was found on her body.
