New Delhi: Taj Mahal is now becoming a weapon for the opposition parties to fire on Center government in the parliament. Now, it is twice that the ruling party deflected the question on the issue.

Asaduddin Owasi representing the Telangana parliamentary position asked the culture minister Mahesh Sharma on the issue in the question hour. The question was asked following up on a question asked by MR. Dharmendra Yadav of Samajwadi Party.

Mr Owaisi asked “Who does Taj mahal belong to?” But his question was evaded by the minister. The question was asked by Mr. Owaisi following the question that Taj Mahal shoul be declared a property of state’s Wakf board.

Shias argue that Mumtaz Mahal was a Shia, and the Taj Mahal, therefore, is Wakf property. On the other hand, Sunnis contend that the mausoleum comes under the Sunni Central Wakf Board.
