No-fly zone on R-Day
The Republic Day parade will not be monitored by drones as the authorities have declared that Rajpath and nearby areas as no-fly zone after the apprehensions from American security agencies any flying object can be used as a weapon to launch attack.

New Delhi: The Republic Day parade will not be monitored by drones as the authorities have declared that Rajpath and nearby areas as no-fly zone after the apprehensions from American security agencies any flying object can be used as a weapon to launch attack.
US President Barack Obama will be the chief guest at Republic Day parade on Monday.
The security agencies have also identified at least 71 high rise buildings around Rajpath that can be misused by the miscreant to launch any attack on the visitors. The buildings are being sanitised and are kept under strict watch.
All offices close to Rajpath will be sanitised and special passes will be issued to the employees who will be working there on the January 25 and January 26. Sanitisation of these buildings will also take place from 1:00 PM on January 25.
Key buildings facing Rajpath and Obama's route will have snipers on them Sadarpatel Marg which will be used by Obama will be sanitised. All the restrictions will remain in place for Sunday and Monday.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said "extra precaution" is being taken at the borders ahead of Obama's visit not just as a security measure for him but also to prevent incidents which might be undertaken to divert attention.
He said extra precaution is being taken not only for security but to prevent if someone tries "to focus the attention of the world in a different direction".
"Basically, if they do something in Kashmir, security (of Obama) is not a problem but you (media) will run there," he said.
He was replying to questions about security arrangements being done for Obama who will be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade.
