Narendra Modi government has emerged out to be more fashion friendly. The government has announced 6% Excise Duty reduction on Leather in the first-ever full year Budget. All the leather products such as shoes, belts and bags would get cheaper.
Next in the line would be soft drinks, as the Govt has also made them cheaper and pocket-friendly for common man. In view of fall in excise rates issued by the NDA govt - LCD TVs, Electric Cars, Mobiles, Vegetable Oils, hardware parts of Computer, Diamonds and Toilet soaps prices are likely come down.
Smokers are not shown the kind gesture by the Govt as Cigarettes would be getting costlier burdening smokers. Also, eating out in hotels and restaurants would be costing a lot as the government increased Service Tax from 12.36% to 14%.
From the next financial – April 1, other services like Gym membership, consultation with lawyers, Club membership will be costing more.
