Dharmashastra has reference to beef eating, argue Kerala MPs
The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) - the Communist Party of India (Marxist) youth wing - has launched a nationwide \'beef festival\' to create a national debate and uproar on the ban on sale and consumption of beef imposed by the Maharashtra government recently.

The beef festival kicked off in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on March 10 and the next leg is in Delhi on March 19, and those who walk in get to stuff themselves for free.
"What one should eat or wear, or what language should one speak -all these are personal choices and they simply cannot be imposed We are inviting one and all cutting across party lines, even the BJP MPs to join in," said Lok Sabha MP and DYFI president M B Rajesh.
