Congress leader Digvijay Singh showed his support for net neutrality, sharing the fact that he had asked a question in the Rajya Sabha with respect to the debate.

Meanwhile, Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad said that his ministry has constituted a committee for the same.
"The IT Ministry has constituted a committee on the net neutrality issue. The report will have to be submitted by the second week of May," he said.
Net neutrality promises all content on the internet to be treated equally and not discriminating on the basis of user, content, platform, and so on. At present, India has no laws with respect to net neutrality.
