MIM delegation visits riot hit village of Atali in Ballabhgarh

New Delhi: The delegation of AIMIM Party of India led by Mohd Afzal Khan, Ward No. 205 President, Okhla, New Delhi along with Delhi Aimim Team visited the riot-hit village of Atali in Ballabgarh near Faridabad in Haryana and met the victims. During the visit, it was found that the houses of people (Muslims) were burnt down to ashes and looted. The delegation extended whatever support to the victims and their families. The delegation met the Moolchand Sharma, MLA and Priyanka Soni SDM and demanded that a quick and strict action, from both police and administration, should be taken against the culprits at the earliest. Along with it a request for security of victims was made. Assurance for the same was given.

Members of the delegation also visited Badshah Khan (BK) Hospital where several injured victims are being treated. They also visited the Ballabgarh Police Station where they met DCP Buhpinder Singh and also the riot affected people who have taken refuge in large numbers. They discussed the situation with the victims and tried to find out all the facts that led to the communal riot, and assured the people all possible assistance they can provide. Mohd Afzal Khan, Ward President of AIMIM party, said that “It is very clear that Muslims are targeted at Atali Village, they burnt their houses, vehicles and looted cash and other assets, the role of police seems to be negligent towards culprits, and no arrest has been made so far”.

We demands immediate action against culprits and lodge the FIR against Babu Lal, SHO of Chhasi Police station. Subash Yadav, Haryana Police Commissioner, told Mohd. Afzal Khan about the suspension orders of Babu Lal, SHO and situation is under close scrutiny of the administration. Haryana government must constitute a special enquiry team to expose the conspiracy behind this riot. After considering the loss borne by the victims the government should make adequate compensation as soon as possible. Moreover, secular forces and authorities should be cautious about reoccurrence of such unfortunate incidents.
